1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the AstroSansaar website (astrosansaar.in) and the AstroSansaar Android application available on Google Play. Astrology | Devotion | Spirituality is our product line. By using the website or app, you agree to this policy.

The website is educational. Kundli tools, matching, राशिफल inside the product, chat, call, live sessions, wallet, and payments run in the Android app. We do not take consultation payments on this website.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the service, support you, and meet the law. Depending on how you use AstroSansaar, this may include:

Account and profile

• Name, mobile number, email address, and login or OTP details
• Language preference (Hindi or English) and profile photo if you add one
• Support messages you send to us

Astrology and birth information

• Date, time, and place of birth for you or a person whose chart you generate
• Gender, rashi, nakshatra, Lagna, and other chart fields produced from that input
• Kundli, Kundli Milan / Guna matching inputs for two persons
• Saved charts, notes, and reports you create in the app

Consultations

• Chat text, call metadata (time, duration, astrologer), and live-session activity
• Questions you ask and ratings or feedback you leave
• Voice or session records where the product records a call or live room for quality, dispute, or safety — only as shown in the app at the time

Payments

• Wallet recharge history, order IDs, and consultation debit records
• Payment status from Google Play or the payment partner. We do not store full card or UPI PINs on our servers

Device and usage

• Device model, OS version, app version, IP address, language, and crash or performance logs
• Pages you open on the website and features you use in the app (for reliability and improvement)
• Photos or files you upload if a feature asks for them (for example a profile image)

3. Birth details and Kundli data

Janam Kundli and matching need accurate birth data. That information is sensitive in an astrology product. We use it to generate charts, Milan scores, and to help an astrologer understand your question. Do not enter another person’s birth details unless you have a genuine reason and, where required, their consent.

Kundli output is interpretive. It is not a medical, legal, or financial record. We do not sell birth charts or matching results to advertisers.

4. Chat, call, and live sessions

Consultations are one-to-one (or a live room when a session is running). The astrologer you choose can see the profile and chart context you share for that session. Do not send bank OTPs, passwords, or unnecessary identity documents in chat.

We may review a session if you raise a complaint, if there is a safety or fraud concern, or as required by law. Astrologers are asked not to use your personal story outside the platform.

5. How we use information

• Create and secure your account, and send OTP or service messages
• Generate Kundli, Milan, Panchang, and राशिफल features in the app
• Connect you with astrologers for chat, call, or live sessions
• Process wallet recharges and deduct minutes or session fees as shown in the app
• Apply offers such as First Chat Free or ₹5/min plans when those offers are live
• Provide customer support, refunds, and grievance handling
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
• Improve the website and app, including fixing crashes
• Meet Indian law, Google Play rules, and lawful requests from authorities

We do not use your Kundli or consultation content to send you third-party advertising lists. We do not sell personal data.

6. When we share information

We share information only with parties who need it to run the service:

• Astrologers — the details required for the consult you start
• Google Play and payment partners — to complete a recharge or in-app purchase
• Cloud, SMS/OTP, email, and analytics vendors — as processors, under contract, only for the stated purpose
• Authorities — if the law requires it, or to protect users, astrologers, or the platform

If we use a new processor that materially changes this list, we will update this page.

7. Payments and wallet

Wallet, recharge, and consultation fees are collected in the Android app, not on this website. Payment data is handled by Google Play and/or the payment gateway. See also our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. How long we keep data

We keep account, chart, and transaction records while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure — typically as needed for support, accounting, dispute handling, and Indian law (including tax and IT records). Support tickets are kept long enough to finish the case. You may ask us to delete or close an account; some records may be retained where the law does not allow immediate deletion.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and limited staff access to consultation and payment logs. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Please keep your phone locked and do not share OTPs.

10. Your rights

Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law, you may request to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate account or birth details
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Ask for erasure or account deletion, subject to legal holds
• Raise a grievance (see Grievance & Customer Support)

11. Children

AstroSansaar is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. If you believe a minor has shared birth data or used paid consults, contact us and we will delete the account where appropriate. A parent may generate a child’s chart for family use; that adult remains responsible for the data entered.

12. Cookies and similar tools

The website may use cookies or local storage as described in our Cookie Policy. The app may use device identifiers for login, crash reports, and notifications.

13. Changes

We may update this policy when features, vendors, or the law change. The new date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be notified in the app.
